Prehistory is Anonymous!
A Caveman is a popular stock character based upon stereotyped concepts of the way in which early prehistoric humans or humininans may have looked and behaved. The term caveman is something used colloquially to refer to Neanderthals or Cro-Mognon (Homo sapiens of the Paleolithic era). The term has been discouraged in serious use, because of its inaccuracy and dependence on certain misconceptions about early humans.
Prehistoric is a term use to describe periods before written time. The term was introduced into English by Daniel Wilson in 1851. Prehistory can be said to date back to the beginning of the universe itself; although the term is used mostly to describe periods when there was life on earth.
Skeletal material and lithic artifacts believed to represent the evidence of Neanderthals have been found throughout western Asia and Europe. They are the first human species to that lived outside of the temperate zone of the world in locations such as Weasel Cave in Russia.
Neanderthal DNA has been recovered from individual skeletons at a few sites, including Feldhofer Cave in Germany, Vindija Cave in Croatia, and Mezmaiskaya Cave in Russia.
About 55,000 years ago, the weather began to fluctuate wildly from extreme cold conditions to mild cold and back in a matter of a few decades. Neanderthal bodies were well suited for survival in a cold climate. Their barrel chests and stocky limbs stored body heat better than the Cro-Magnons. However, the rapid fluctuations of weather caused ecological changes that the Neanderthals could not adapt. The weather changes were so rapid that within a lifetime, plants and animals somehow grew up and were replaced by completely different plants and animals. A large number of Neanderthals would have died during these fluctuations.
The Neandertal is a small valley of the river Dussel in the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia. During mining operations, the bones of the original Neanderthal man were found in a cave.

Discoveries dating back 40,000 years have been found in caves of the existence of humans habitation. Items of value were placed in a cave to be protected them from the climatic elements and predators, making some caves virtual treasure mines.
To me, this rock painting is a representation of someone who was thought highly of. Maybe it was someone who had even died and the artist wanted to remind them self of a dearly departed one.
Stone Age Caveman Paleolithic Cave Art
Cave painting of auroches (Bos primigenius primigenius) in w:Lascaux, France.
Picture Source: Cave painting dating to prehistoric times. The earliest known examples of African cave art date to Blombos cave, some 100,000 years ago. The earliest European cave paintings date to Aurignacian, some 32,000 years ago. Paleolithic cave paintings must have served a purpose, but what that is not known. Evidence suggests that they were not merely decorations of living areas, since the caves in which they have been found do not have signs of ongoing habitation in them.
